Meet the gang...
TRIXIE
This here is my best girl. I adopted Trixie from the Montgomery County SPCA about 10 years ago and she was said to be a "cattle dog mix", whatever that means. She has been with me through the loss of loved ones and other pets, break ups, 5 moves and many, many, many amazing milestones in my life. She must have had a rough beginning because she is afraid of life in general. Flashing lights, cameras, new people, ringing cell phones, among lots of other things. Things that she loves are her people, other pups, and snacks! I love his dog probably more than any person should love a dog. She has been around longer than my husband and she is definitely my first love. This old lady is one of a kind.
PENNY
Penny, Penny, Penny... Where to begin! This crazy little girl came into our life about 3 years ago when we lost our German Shepard to Stomach Cancer. Trixie emediately went into panic mode without a buddy to help with her confidence issues so we really didn't have much of a choice. For some reason we decided that adopting a PUPPY from a local rescue would be a good idea and boy we were we in for it! She was labled a Plot hound, beagle mix and after doing some research it seems like they hit the nail on the head. We really weren't ready for the up all night potty breaks, chewing, mistakes, and crazy burst of energy they were not something we were accoustomed to, but we pushed through and stuck with it. After about a year of craziness we settled into our routine and she has become a much beloved part of our little family. She is a daddy's girl for sure and I sometimes wonder if the place was on fire who would he grab? Hopefully we never have to find the answer to that! She is a terrible listener, but a very adorable, friendly, loving, energetic, curious pup that keeps us entertained and on our toes. She loves other pups too, and trips to the dog park are her favorite; as long as it's not too far of a car ride because she gets a little car sick from time to time. For some reason I can't seem to seem to have an issue free pet in my life!
THE TWINS ( Violet and Dash )
Violet and Dash are siblings that were born to a feral barn cat in Philadelphia and then were taken in by a nice lady that fed them, kept them safe, and had them spade/neutered and given their vaccinies so that they could find a good home. I was lucky to scoop them up and make them part of the family! They live solely in the barn because I have a terrible cat allergy but they have a heated kitty house and plenty of food and love to keep them warm. They are two peas in a pod, always side by side and it has been so fun to watch them grow. They went from being scared little kittens to adventurous adolescents. They always greet me with loud purrs and nose rubs. Hopefully they will catch lots of mice and keep vigilant patrol of our little barn!
